 Spronken
Orthopedie N.V.
was founded in 1960
by Mr. E. Spronken who started out as an orthopaedic technician. He and
his later employees have since built an excellent reputation in the
orthopaedic field, in Belgium as well as abroad.
In 1972, Spronken Orthopedie N.V. already employed more than 10 people and
a second orthopaedic centre was opened in Beek – the Netherlands.
At the end of
the seventies, Spronken Orthopedie N.V. started with the distribution of
NEOFRAKT® in Belgium.
NEOFRAKT® was developed by Prof. A. Blömer, M.D. in cooperation
with Elastogran, a daughter of BASF Germany.
Thanks to its
orthopaedic experience, Spronken Orthopedie N.V. quickly became the most
succesful NEOFRAKT®-distributor, not only in Belgium, but also
in the Netherlands (since 1984) and in France (since 1988).
In 1989,
Spronken Orthopedie N.V. accepted the offer of the Elastogran company to
produce and distribute NEOFRAKT® exclusively worldwide.
Spronken
Orthopedie N.V. now controls the complete production process and product
line. New models were developed in cooperation with its customers and its
employees continue to find solutions for all new challenges. In 1994,
Spronken Orthopedie N.V. moved to its present location near the highway
between Brussels and Aachen (Germany). This site now unites the 3
departments which together form Spronken Orthopedie N.V.: NEOFRAKT®,
Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation. Nowadays , Spronken orthopedie N.V.
employs around 120 people, ± 20 of which work exclusively for NEOFRAKT®.
An important part of the success of NEOFRAKT® is due to the
product’s excellent quality and the provided service. The patient, doctor
or orthopaedic surgeon is always put in the center of the attention.
To guarantee
the constant quality of its products, and to fulfill the demands of her
customers, Spronken Orthopedie N.V. introduced a quality system 1995
according to the EN-ISO 9002 1994 model. The company direction actively
supervises this system to ensure all demands are well implemented. That
is why the company successfully renewed its ISO 9002 Certificate in 1998. |

| Neofrakt®
Neofrakt® is a product of Spronken Orthopedie N.V. The
principle of the Neofrakt®-system is the combination of
polyurethane rigid foam as a splint, and the elastic stocking as bandage
surface. The polyurethane rigid foam Neofrakt® employes, was
developed especially for medical purposes. The Neofrakt®
bandage is applied in soft condition. It hardens on the body and is easy
to modify. The surface of the Neofrakt® bandage makes an extra
stockinette superfluous. Neofrakt® is not only for simple
splints and cylinder bandages. It is also very suitable for complicated
temporary orthopaedic applications. |
